Collection: Lodge
Founded in 1896 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, the original foundry was established by Joseph Lodge under the name Blacklock Foundry. From its earliest days, the operation produced durable cast iron cookware including skillets, Dutch ovens, griddles, biscuit pans, and a wide range of everyday kitchen essentials designed for hardworking American homes.
In May 1910, tragedy struck when the Blacklock foundry was destroyed by fire. Rather than ending the story, it marked a turning point. A few months later, the business was rebuilt and officially reborn as the Lodge Manufacturing Company, beginning the next chapter of what would become a legendary American cast iron brand.
From that point forward, Lodge continued to grow and refine its cookware, becoming known for its strength, heat retention, and dependable cooking performance. The company remained committed to traditional cast iron production while steadily modernizing its operations, helping secure its place as a long-lasting American manufacturer.
Today, Lodge Cast Iron is still in production in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, making it one of the oldest continuously operating cast iron manufacturers in the United States. For many people, especially those just discovering cast iron, Lodge is the most recognized and trusted name in the industry, known for making cast iron accessible, reliable, and built for everyday use.
More than a century after its rebirth, Lodge continues to produce cookware that moves from foundry to kitchen to family table—carrying forward a tradition of American craftsmanship that is still going strong today.
